Terms of Use

Last updated 9 March 2026. Please read these terms carefully before using our website or services.

1. About Let Us Check

Let Us Check Pty Ltd (ACN 695 980 182 · ABN 88 695 980 182) (“Let Us Check”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates letuscheck.com.au — a free private health insurance comparison and referral service. We are registered in Queensland, Australia.

By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Our Service

Let Us Check is a comparison and referral service, not a health fund. We help you compare private health insurance products from participating funds and connect you with the fund of your choice. We do not underwrite, issue, or administer health insurance policies.

Our comparison displays plans from our panel of participating health funds. Not all health funds operating in Australia are represented in our comparison. The absence of a fund or product does not constitute a recommendation against it.

3. General Information Only — Not Personal Advice

The information, comparisons, and quotes provided through our website and by our agents constitute general information only. They do not take into account your individual financial situation, health needs, or personal objectives.

Before purchasing a health insurance product, you should consider whether it is appropriate for your circumstances. We recommend reading the fund's Private Health Insurance Statement (PHIS) and Clinical Cover Summary before applying.

Let Us Check is not regulated under the Corporations Act 2001 and does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence. Private health insurance is regulated under the Private Health Insurance Act 2007 (Cth).

4. How We Earn Money

Let Us Check earns a commission from the health fund when you take out a policy through us. This commission is paid by the fund — not by you. By law (the Private Health Insurance Act 2007 and community rating rules), health funds must offer the same premium regardless of how you buy. The price you pay through Let Us Check is identical to going direct to the fund.

This commission arrangement may influence which funds we have on our panel. We disclose this relationship in the interest of transparency.

5. Premiums and Pricing

Premiums displayed on our website are based on information provided by you and data from our participating funds at the time of comparison. Premiums are subject to change, including the annual adjustment on 1 April each year pursuant to health fund rate change applications approved by the Minister for Health.

The final premium payable will be confirmed by the health fund at the time of your application. Let Us Check takes no responsibility for discrepancies between quoted and final premiums arising from changes in your circumstances or fund rate adjustments.

6. Government Rebate

The Australian Government Rebate on private health insurance is income-tested. Rebate percentages displayed are based on information you provide about your income. It is your responsibility to ensure you claim the correct rebate tier. Let Us Check accepts no liability for incorrect rebate claims.

7. Application and Acceptance

Submitting an application through Let Us Check does not guarantee acceptance by the health fund. Acceptance is subject to the fund's own terms, conditions, and waiting periods. Community rating applies — funds generally cannot refuse cover based on health status for most hospital tiers, but waiting periods and pre-existing condition rules apply.

8. Cooling-Off Period

Under the Private Health Insurance Act 2007, you have a statutory cooling-off period of 30 days from the commencement date of your policy to cancel and receive a full refund, provided you have not made a claim during that period.

If your policy arose from an unsolicited contact (where you did not initiate the approach), you have an additional right under the Australian Consumer Law to cancel within 10 business days of receiving the agreement and receive a full refund.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on letuscheck.com.au — including text, graphics, logos, comparison tools, and software — is the property of Let Us Check Pty Ltd or its licensors and is protected by Australian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Let Us Check excludes all liability for loss or damage (including indirect, consequential, or economic loss) arising from:

  • Your use of or reliance on information on our website
  • Errors or omissions in premium or coverage information
  • Decisions made based on our comparison results
  • Interruption to or unavailability of our service

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our liability is limited to the amount of commission received, if any, in connection with your transaction.

Our website may link to health fund websites, government resources (such as privatehealth.gov.au), and other third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of those sites.
